1000th House Celebration

July 1, 2015

Rebuilding Together National, formerly known as Christmas In April, came into being in 1973 and our local organization Rebuilding Together Warner Robins (RTWR) was formed in 1996 when a group from Robins Air Force Base decided to tap the resources of this very talented community to assist elderly, disabled and veteran homeowners with limited means in keeping their homes safe, warm and dry. Our Vision is “A safe and healthy home for everyone” and our Mission is to bring volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners.

RTWR has been blessed over the years with tremendous community support in not only funding but also in volunteer time, labor and talent which allowed us to work on numerous houses each year. We have reached a huge milestone in our small affiliate as in just 18 years of effort we are now celebrating the completion of our 1,000th house.

With the help of our volunteers, we have repaired homes, provided much need handicapped accesses inside and outside the homes of our handicapped citizens and all the while helping in the revitalization of our community touching thousands of lives here in Warner Robins. Because you have shared in our efforts we would like to invite you to share in the celebration which will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 423 Carolina Avenue, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093, the home of Mrs. Helen Stephens. Work will begin at 8:00 am with celebration activities at 9:00 am. Light refreshments will be served.
